What an amazing feat by the Mahajan brothers, something which people will never stop talking about. They have immortalized themselves by their superhuman effort of completing the RAAM, the toughest race in the world. But what struck me most was their humility. Great human beings.
I travelled with the Nashik Cyclists, a busload of them all the way from Nashik to welcome the amazing duo. What enthusiasm and pride. I feel doubly proud today first as a cyclist and second as an organizer of Veloraid after hearing the president of the Nashik cycling group, Vishal Ughale very modestly admit that it was Veloraid that inspired them to create a similar event in Nashik and the Nashik cycling group. After which there was no looking back.
Mahendra Mahajan was there in the team which came second in the first edition of veloraid (First time a team from Nashik took part in an event outside their city).
It feels great to see it happening what we set out to achieve by the conduct of these events and getting the credit too. Thanks Vishal.
